Product Description Extended Talk Time and Reduce Interference. Panasonic introduces the latest in innovative solutions with its new line of low interference DECT (Digital Enhanced Cordless Communications) 6. 0 cordless telephones systems. The major benefits of this new line of DECT phones include up to 17 hours of talk time, substantial handset expandability, and markedly reduced interference. What are the benefits of Panasonic DECT 6. 0 Phones?Engineered to work in the 1. 9 GHz frequency range, these phones will not conflict with other wireless devices such as 2. 4 GHz Wi-Fi computer routers, wireless keyboards and mousse, microwave ovens, and other common household devices. And because it's digital, DECT 6. 0 technology also provides long ranges, excellent clarity, and helps deter eavesdropping. Multiple voice paths are used to enable the entire series to provide up to 3-way conferencing, this allows for multiple handsets to be used at the same time and up to 2 handsets can join into a conversation with one outside caller. They also provide for Intercom between handsets and Phonebook Sharing. Additionally, these systems are extremely comfortable and easy to use, with the handsets featuring large keypads buttons that are almost twice the size of standard phone keypad buttons, and are designed top fit comfortably in both your hand as well as cradled on your neck. all models in the DECT 6. 0 line include a base station-integrated digital answering machine with voice menu, digital handset speakerphones, handsets with a clock on the LCD with alarm function, three-line backlit LCD, and incoming call indicator lights

Works fine with MagicJack August 1, 2010 Dorita Sewell 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This Panasonic IS compatible with MagicJack, and this is no small thing. unless you want to keep buying phones and paying restocking fees. It also has great features and performance--please see other reviews. I'm thrilled. My phone is now pretty old and I haven't had the "busy" signal when dialing at all. Maybe there's a network problem in some area?
My Siemens Gigaset cost a bundle to return because it was not compatible with MagicJack. There's no easy way to tell what IS compatible with MagicJack. MJ site says any phone is compatible, but the Gigaset doesn't ring for incoming MJ calls and won't make calls via the Softphone. Siemens says their understanding of MJ issues is a work in progress. This Panasonic is GREAT!!
Great except..... July 28, 2010 C. Daley (Claremont, CA USA) Got this to replace an older Radio Shack set that was jammed by the microwave and WiFi. Does everything it is supposed to do. Features are wonderful. But within a few months one of the handsets believes there is a headset always plugged in and will only funciton with a headset attached. That would be OK except that the jack is extremely touchy and the slightest movement either results in a rainfall of static or the loss of the connection. I am now forced to either buy a new handset at $25 a pop or have just two working handsets.
Great Phones July 22, 2010 4 in 4.5 We've had these for almost two years and they're great. Love the phone book, answering machine controls, and caller ID on the handsets. Every now and then when the phone rings one handset will ring continuously until someone picks up, but, for all I know, that could be our internet-based phone service. My son threw a handset on the floor and broke the display screen, but he threw it really hard on a wood floor and the screen was the ONLY thing that broke (and not even all the way), so I think that's still a sign of a good phone. It would be nice if I could turn the sound off completely on the base, but the volume control is good enough. Overall, I'm very happy with everything on this phone
